Fun in the leaves with Daddy 11/5/09

These pictures look darker than it actually was, but this was after work yesterday & it is almost dark by the time Kamalani gets home from work now, since the time changed on Sun. No more family walks for us (unless we go in the dark, which we did one time last week. William had fun using the flashlight ). Anyway, this also means that Kamalani can't go hunting anymore in the evenings after work because there is not enough daylight. Although, I think he is making arrangements to get off early a few days so he can go.

New Toys

William got some new toys from his Auntie Casey last week; 101 cookie cutters & some bath toys (which I didn't take pictures of). But he had all the cookie cutters out, checking them out the other day. They are for him to use with his play dough, but I'm sure we will make real cookies & maybe sandwiches with them some day as well. He also got some new books, both from Auntie & Grandma.

First Time Playing with Play Dough

Today I had to miss MOPS because William (& Kamalani) caught colds this week. I was kind of bummed, but tried to make the most of it. I thought that I should spend the morning playing with William & focusing on him instead of the routine tasks that I usually take care of in the mornings like dishes & laundry & food & whatnot. So, after breakfast, we colored awhile with crayons, but that never lasts very long before William finds other creative things to do with the crayons besides color with them! I really wanted to go outside for a walk or something, but it was so cold this morning that is snowed! Ahh!! So, I made William some play dough instead. I found a very nice recipe in a Family Fun magazine a friend gave to me: Click Here for recipe.
It was quick & easy &, the best part, William really enjoyed playing with it (and so did I )!
